Terms of Service
These terms summarize how RouteRefund monitors trips and helps customers capture eligible savings. They should be reviewed by counsel before broad paid launch.
Service
RouteRefund monitors flight bookings that customers add manually or forward by email. When a potential lower eligible fare appears, RouteRefund may notify the customer, review the option, and help pursue savings.
Customer authorization
By creating an account and adding or forwarding a trip, the customer authorizes RouteRefund to review trip details, monitor fare changes, and contact the customer about potential savings. RouteRefund does not automatically cancel or rebook flights without the appropriate authorization and operational review.
Savings and fees
RouteRefund may charge a success fee only when eligible savings are captured. A 30% success-fee model is under consideration, but final billing details should be disclosed before charging and processed through a secure payment provider such as Stripe.
Limitations
Airline rules, fare availability, cancellation rules, refund eligibility, credits, and prices can change quickly. RouteRefund cannot guarantee savings and is not responsible for airline rule changes or unavailable fares.
No card storage in trip forms
RouteRefund trip forms should not collect or store raw credit card numbers. Payments, when added, should use a hosted payment flow.
